We were up yesterday on the last day. Guests sat far too close together, which of course made the corona rules ad absurdum. Many drunk guests who then no longer wore a mask inside. The staff didn't care. You don't have to be surprised about the number of cases. Live music would be OK, but not in terms of volume. Two stars for the food, which was good and homemade.

It was really cozy and the curd strudel was very good!

A beautiful alp for hiking and just enjoying the peace and quiet.

Nice inn with a great view of the Chiemsee. Delicious food and a good selection of drinks. Very friendly and attentive service.

The service was nice, the location was also quite nice, but unfortunately the food was underground. Some canteens cook better there. The food was so tasteless and bland. The dumpling was just a watery mass. Definitely not recommended for the money. It's a shame about the food when it is processed with so little love.

The hike up to the hut is very beautiful but also demanding. Service was very nice and fast. The food was also ok. Unfortunately we only had to take the bus to get down 🤦‍♀️. Although we ate well there, the host who is responsible for the trip took 8 € per person for just 4 km 😡 !! That's outrageous and rip off !!!!!!!? !! With a tourist card the trip costs 7 € but nobody knows it !!!! After I talked to him about it, he got puffy 😬 !! Impossible behavior as a boss

Fantastic location with a view of the Chiemsee. Good driving service from the Blindau car park. Starting point for great hikes, we hiked from there to the Straubinger Haus and back. Brass music events every Sunday.

Great currywurst with (without fries) but fried potatoes

Since the hut is located on a bike path, it was advertised in a bike guide and I drove 250km because of it, this should be the nice end of a full day bike tour. The hut makes a nice impression, but is very hidden in the forest. The "beautiful" view is limited to a narrow area in which you can see the Chiemsee far back. The terrace was only moderately full in the afternoon, but many guests had to wait a long time for orders and service. After getting something to drink after a while, but still not allowed to order after 40 minutes, I drove again. Due to the long ways for the service from the kitchen to the guest garden, there is (mostly) a lady, although very friendly, clearly not enough. But I have the impression that this is more of a hut with various hut celebrations. These are driven directly to the hut by minibus. It's actually a shame, it would certainly have been consumed far more in general.

Recommended, Sunday with live music and a lot of atmosphere. Food was good too, nice service.

We actually wanted to have breakfast ... There was no food until 11:30 a.m. However, we were at least made a soup, with which we at least made it to the Straubinger hut. The waitress was very nice.

Food was good, but the service could be improved. After we said four times that we wanted to pay, the waitress came a good 30 minutes later

Great tourist restaurant. Always friendly service. Hearty, Bavarian cuisine with portions that fill you well. Prices normal. Shuttle service there and back with too expensive price. In summer you can walk well, but in winter it is difficult so that the trips could be a little cheaper.

Outstanding. especially Wednesday with the hut evening has to be highly recommended. The boss himself plays music with his band! Great food and good atmosphere ... a real highlight !!! Thanks to the driver service everyone can have fun. Again and again!!

Very nice place to relax and take a walk both in the snow and in the sun with a warm 20 ° in summer. The hut evening in winter and early shopping in summer with live music is also wonderful.

Very good food but the sledging is the winter highlight!

Hindenburghütte, a nice place with a beautiful overview of the valley, at 1260mtr. A special bus takes you from the center of Reit Im Winkl to the Hindenburghütte for 6 euro (adult/ children 3 euro). To use the sled going down you'll pay 5 euro per sled.. be adviced, be careful with children under the age of 15, it's better to go downhill with an adult (2person sled). It's a nice ride down, one of the longest natural rides (approx 4km)

Refused to ride me down when I was caught in the pouring rain, soaking wet, even after I offered payment. Ridiculous inflexibility for no reason.

Somewhat crowded, but food and prices ok given the excellent location. The men's restroom is a mandatory visit. In winter, one can rent sleds for the way back to the car park.
